Gina Caporicci
Gina Caporicci earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology with a minor in Integrative Animal Biology from the University of South Florida in 2015, followed by an Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2017. She began her veterinary career in an avian and exotics clinic before transitioning to general practice, where she spent several years as a lead surgery technician. After moving to Asheville, Gina transitioned into Specialty Care, working in ECC at Upstate Vet-Asheville prior to its transition into South Asheville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty (SAVES), where she has been for over four years.
Gina currently serves as the Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) Department Supervisor at SAVES, overseeing ER and ICU operations with a focus on team development, workflow efficiency, and high-quality patient care.
In her free time, Gina enjoys spending quality time with her husband, friends, and family, along with their three dogs and two cats, who keep life busy and entertaining. Outside of work, she values balance and downtime, and can often be found reading, hiking and exploring the outdoors, or traveling and experiencing new places whenever possible.
