Dr. Marguerite (Maggie) Mezzles graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed her rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Oklahoma State University followed by a specialty surgery internship at Animal Specialty and Emergency Center in Los Angeles, CA. Afterward, Dr. Mezzles participated in a research fellowship at Texas Biomedical Research Institute in San Antonio, TX before returning to clinical medicine for a specialty surgery internship at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center in Las Vegas, NV. She completed her surgery residency at Summit Veterinary Referral Center in Tacoma, WA and became board certified in 2021.

Dr. Mezzles is excited to make Asheville her new home after calling Texas home for so many years. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, painting, quilting, and anything related to music in her spare time.
