Dr. Allyssa Lewis joined the SAVES team after graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2026. Originally from the Charlotte area, she is excited to return to the Carolinas and begin her veterinary career closer to home.

Emergency medicine has been Dr. Lewis's passion both before and throughout veterinary school. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and supporting their families through unexpected medical emergencies.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Lewis enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their pets, including two cats, Basil and Oliver, and a ball python named Mimir. In her free time, she can often be found baking sourdough, crocheting, reading, playing video games, or exploring new coffee shops.

Dr. Lewis is thrilled to be part of the SAVES team and looks forward to serving pets and their families throughout Western North Carolina.
