DVM, Practice Limited to Critical Care
Emily Chrai
Dr. Emily Chrai received her undergraduate degree in biology and master’s degree in biomedical science from Colorado State University. She then went on to graduate from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She was very interested in zoological medicine at that time and assumed she would continue down that path. It was during her rotating internship at Colorado Animal Specialty and Emergency that Dr. Chrai fell in love with critical care medicine.
She moved to Gainesville, FL to complete a residency in Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Florida. During her residency, she was exposed to a wide variety of cases and medical techniques, including extracorporeal therapy and mechanical ventilation. Some of her favorite types of cases include snake bite envenomation, heatstroke, and polytraumas. Dr. Chrai is excited to bring some of that expertise to SAVES.
Although she was raised in New Jersey, Dr. Chrai is a mountain girl at heart. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dog, paddle boarding, crocheting, and cooking.
