Jen is a credentialed veterinary technician with over 25 years of experience. She has worked in both general practice and at specialty hospitals. Jen spent 8 years as an oncology technician, many years as an emergency technician, and 10+ years as an ICU technician. A little over 4 years ago she found her true passion for blood banking. Jen started a community blood bank in Charleston, South Carolina where she grew the blood bank from 15 donors to over 100 dog and cat donors.   

Jen is originally from Long Island, NY. She lived in NJ for 14 years then in South Carolina for 10 years. Jen moved to the WNC area in November 2024 to start and build a community blood bank here at SAVES.   

When Jen is not working, she loves going on hikes with her dogs Feby and Jeff. She also enjoys working out (crossfit), snowboarding, horseback riding, rock climbing, yard work, and reading.
