Dr. Jennifer Stafford is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. She always knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian and dressed up for Career Day in the First Grade with her Pound Puppy Vet Kit.

She completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Science at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2003, graduating summa cum laude, and went on to complete veterinary school at UT in 2007.

After veterinary school, she moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland and completed a one-year rotating internship followed by a four-year dual residency in both Internal Medicine and Emergency/Critical Care at Veterinary Referral Associates. She became boarded in both specialties in 2012. She has since practiced in San Antonio, Texas and Orlando, Florida before moving to Asheville in 2024 to enjoy the mountains, four seasons, and a more artsy vibe.

In addition to her boyfriend and 2 cats, she spends most of her time off either traveling around the world or riding her 2 horses.
