Dr. Justin DeVanna is originally from Wooster, Ohio. In second grade he learned to spell the word veterinarian when he wrote he wanted to be a veterinarian when he grew up in his all about me book. Justin completed his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Westminster College, PA. He then was a classroom teacher and swimming coach until he returned to Kent State University to complete his veterinary school prerequisites.

Dr. DeVanna completed his veterinary education at Purdue University in 2007. Justin was commissioned into the US Army as a Second Lieutenant in 2005 after receiving a Health Professional Scholarship. Upon graduation he was promoted to Captain and began his career in the Army.  Justin's has been stationed around the world including one combat deployment.  Justin completed his Small Animal Internal Medicine residency at North Carolina State University 2010-2013 and became board certified.  Justin remains an Active Duty Army Veterinarian pending his future retirement after 20 years of honorable service.  His areas of greatest interest include infectious diseases, the urinary system and working dog medicine.  

Dr. DeVanna is married for over 25 years to his wife, Jennifer. He has two amazing kids Gabe and Lilly.  In his free time Justin is an avid swimmer and cyclist, competes in Aquabike racing, and enjoys anything outdoors.
