Dr. Lexie Ewing was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida, and earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Florida. She also completed a Professional Certification in Shelter Medicine, reflecting her dedication to animal welfare and community medicine.

Dr. Ewing is passionate about emergency medicine and enjoys the diverse caseload and fast-paced environment it provides. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and trauma care. She is especially drawn to supporting both pets and their families through unexpected emergencies and finds the human-animal bond to be one of the most rewarding aspects of veterinary medicine.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ewing enjoys hiking, reading with her two cats, and spending time on or near the water. She is excited to call Western North Carolina home and is looking forward to trading Florida's flat landscape and humidity for mountain views and four beautiful seasons.
