Dr. Meghan Blankenship received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. She grew up overseas before moving to the United States during high school. She attended the College of Charleston and the University of Kentucky as an undergraduate, and spent time at the University of Cape Town studying zoology.

After veterinary school, Dr. Blankenship worked in Dallas as a new graduate before moving to Los Angeles to complete an internship and Emergency/Critical Care training at Animal Specialty and Emergency Center. She stayed on at that teaching hospital to work as a senior ICU and ER clinician for five years. During that time, she worked in Critical Care and with specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, and Neurology. Dr. Blankenship traveled across the U.S. this summer in an airstream, camping and hiking all the way to Asheville after leaving Los Angeles.

Outside of work, she is an avid traveler who loves to be outside camping, hiking, climbing, or just listening to music.
