Sara moved to Asheville in 2020 from New Orleans after years of dreaming about living in the area. In 2022 she graduated from AB Tech's sonography program and is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer who holds registries in abdominal, OB/GYN, and breast ultrasound. She is also a Registered Vascular Technologist. 

She considers it a privilege to have the opportunity to combine two of her passions at SAVES in order to help get answers for animals and their owners. A cat lady from an early age, Sara and her husband Sam have adopted and fostered both cats and dogs over the years, feeling a special devotion to senior animals.

When not at work, Sara can be found in her large vegetable garden with her garden dog and assistant Royal at her side. Sara and Sam also have three cats Poydras, Prytania, and Ruby.
